The AP-2000 (with Lucent/Agere/Proxim's firmware) can function as a 802.11b access point using an ORiNOCO PC Card or ORiNOCO PC Card (Ruby), an 802.11bg access point using a Proxim 8800-FC, and an 802.11a access point using an Agere PC50E-8-FC/A.
Sold by Dell as the TrueMobile 1170.
Some AP2ks have native POE capability - for example, the Agere ORiNOCO AP-2000 AE. This specific one, as shown in the photos, specifically does not appear to. The non-POE capable AP-2ks could use optional POE splitters, which were frequently used with a proprietary PowerDsine 48V system.
