User talk:Omega
Just so you know, if it wasn't immediately obvious - I was simply looking for an excuse to ban you. I had already made my decision.
- The user was really only adding things that *you yourself* had found acceptable in the past. You cannot deny that finding hardware of the same chipset, is useful, no? .. but, of course, no, *you* didn't like what they were doing, and *your* opinion is obviously the only one that matters. ... then, you have the gall to just expect me to do your bidding. I banned their IP blocks because they were a fucking moron, not because you wanted me to (*and it pained me greatly to do so!*).
I asked you nicely for *YEARS* to stop your pointless niggling non-edits that served no purpose but to degrade the data here. I told you the reasoning. I did ask you to stop. You did not. You ignored me and continued.
- You know, I concede there is usefulness to displaying information from disparate models within the infobox, but it was never really intended to work that way. Doing things properly is obviously a fair amount of work, but why bother when we can shove every single tangentially related product into a single infobox (*multiple revisions of this device, use caution*).
I asked you to stop with your idiotic page formatting. Once again, you ignored me, and continued. Of course, no, *you* know better. Then, you actually had the nerve to tell others *that's just how we do things here* after they tell you how idiotic it is - I couldn't even believe it!
- Wow! It's almost like we can make every page mobile (and low-res) friendly by just manually constraining the width of the free-text on each page! Amazing! (It should be evident to almost anyone that formatting, aesthetics, and what passes for 'wiki-convention' [everything?] here is pretty crappy [though, considering I had added most of it from 2009-2015, hopefully consistent])
I fail to see how anyone could find it acceptable to craft complete fantasy-specifications and put them here. Yet, you have done this. Repeatedly.
- I am aware that people make mistakes (luckilly, I guess there are mitigations for some, too) - I make them constantly (continuously, even). We're all human. That being said, acknowledging you know nothing is far better than deluding yourself that you do and misinforming others in the process.
I never trusted *you* from the start (hub.ru). That being said (again), congratulations. Unless someone has a desire to preserve the WikiDevi™ brand (in which case any such site will be under new management), this site will no longer exist. I had every intent of transferring ownership of the site since ~2016, though, things didn't quite work out as I had expected, intended, or desired. (There are multiple factors in play here, currently, but I've mulled it over. I would now consider a planned shutdown *soon* better than an unexpected shutdown *later*. If there is a desire for continuity [TechInfoDepot?], great. If not, the data would be there for anyone to use in the future.)
PS: You know, I acknowledge the possibility that I may have errored in banning you (I kind of doubt everything I do), but I usually trust my intuition - it's generally how I make my decisions, even with its non-zero error rate. I don't really know *you*. Likewise, you don't know *me*.
If you want to say anything here, you are more than welcome to - I don't believe I ever prevented you from editing your own talk page. If not, feel free to have you or your minions le trole at your own (le)isure and I look forward to the possible crossposting to any suitable internet mockery engines.
